DUES POLICY:

ONE DOLLAR IN DUES IS COLLECTED AT EACH TROOP MEETING during Patrol Corners preferably from the scout’s own earnings or allowance.  If the scout misses a meeting for any reason, HE STILL OWES HIS DUES FOR THE MISSED MEETING payable at the next meeting he attends.  Being behind in dues will prevent a scout from attending any non-meeting event or trip.  The system of dues is intended to build scout responsibility and to discourage scouts from attending events but not meetings where most of the event planning takes place.  In the spirit of keeping the duty with the scout, parents may not pre-pay scout dues for the year.  WHEN A SCOUT WANTS TO ATTEND A TRIP OR EVENT he must sign up in the Red Book, be paid up in dues, and attend at least one of the two meetings prior to the event, preferably the meeting when the planning for the event will take place.
