Narragansett Council BSA

The Narragansett Council, B.S.A. serves youth of Rhode Island, South Eastern Massachusetts and portions of Connecticut. The council provides the full program of the Boy Scouts of America. Here is a link to programs offered by the Council.

Yawgoog Scout Reservation

All you need to know about summer camping at Yawgoog Scout Reservation.  Founded in 1916 as "A Scout Adventureland Forever", Camp Yawgoog is situated on 1800 acres of beautiful wilderness in Rockville, Rhode Island. The atmosphere of healthy Camp competition is a unique aspect of the Yawgoog experience.

This site provides a variety of materials, from quick references to complete courses, all designed to help our members improve leadership skills and deliver a quality program.

 

White Stag - Junior Leadership Training

The goal of White Stag is to help troops flourish by increasing the knowledge, skill, confidence and effectiveness of their youth leaders. Throughout the six day, two weekend program, team-building skills are explained, demonstrated and modeled by White Stag staff.

 

Wood Badge - Adult Leadership Training

Wood Badge is a training course for Scouters which finally results in their receiving a certificate, a small neckerchief, a leather slide, and two small wooden beads on a leather thong. Wood Badge is Scouting's premier training course.

National Order of the Arrow

The Order of the Arrow is Scouting's National Honor Society. The purpose of the Order of the Arrow is fourfold: (1) To recognize those Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives, (2) To develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit, (3) To promote Scout camping, and (4) To crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others
