| Welcome to Camping at Yawgoog Scout
Reservation Dear Scouts and Parents,
We would like to invite you join us this summer for a week of adventure
and learning at Camp Yawgoog in nearby Rockville, Rhode Island. Each
year Troop 1 Richmond spends a week in late July earning merit badges,
working towards advancement and having fun at Yawgoog’s Camp Sandy
Beach.
The information on this website is designed to help you and your son
understand and prepare for Camp Yawgoog by describing the program and
answering some commonly asked questions. Please take the time to review
the material together. It will help to ensure the best possible camp
experience.

At Camp Yawgoog, scouts find confidence,
learn independence, accept responsibility and gain new skills. The week
provides scouts with opportunities to make decisions, overcome fears,
build leadership and accept challenges. It is designed to provide a
healthy in-depth extended scouting experience that will support scouts
as they grow into mature, responsible adults.
We hope that this packet will answer all of your questions. If you have
