| Sleeping quarters are not mosquito proof. Mosquito netting is essential to
keeping bite free while sleeping. The best nets are box shaped and cover the
entire body (standard size 6’2”x3’3”). These are available at McQuades Hardware
in Westerly, URE Outfitters in Hope Valley and other sporting goods stores for
$20.00-$25.00. At the Camp Yawgoog Trading Post, similar mosquito nets are
available for sale. Top bunk scouts have found that four 4-foot long ½ to 1 inch
diameter wooden dowels extending upwards from their bed attached with duct tape
are helpful to support the netting above their bedding. |
